Welcome to our site!

I thought I would create this site as a way to document our journey through homeschooling.

For our first year of homeschooling we are using BJU Press Online Distance Learning.  Ty will be using the Complete Grade Kit for Kindergarten, and Cam will be using the Complete Grade Kit for First Grade.  They will learn their lessons online from the BJU teachers.  Online lessons officially start July 31st, however, we will be starting our school year on August 24th (the same day as the public school kids).

Our motto is “Deus Primoris”, which is Latin for “God First”.  And our curriculum definitely meets that requirement!

I wanted to give our ‘school’ an official name so that the boys would have a sense of community that would differ from our home community.  So when they go to ‘Covington Christian Academy’ (located near the kitchen), they will learn that that means it’s school time and to behave accordingly.  That’s the hope anyway.  LOL
