39 and Holding

Not really.  LOL  I’m officially 39, but I certainly don’t plan on holding at 39!  If I had to pick an age to hold at, it would have been 30! 

I had a GREAT birthday this year!!  My family is just wonderful.

Scott took me fishing, while Jess gave the boys their lessons for the day.  Scott’s mission was to put me on some red fish so I could finally catch my first RED.  As we were fishing, Scott’s friend, and professional fishing guide, Captain Butch came trolling up with his clients.  We weren’t catching anything.  Then one of Captain Butch’s clients caught a red fish!  I have to admit, I was jealous.  Why were they hitting those lines and not mine?  We were using the same bait and everything!

After a while, Scott and I were the only ones fishing in the area.  Within a few minutes, I had a bite on my line!  I thought I had a catfish because it “felt” like a catfish.  I was even preparing myself for having to get it off my line…when I saw the flash of the fish.  IT WAS A RED!!!

Now granted, it wasn’t very big…but it was legal.  We ate it for dinner that night.  It was fabulous!!

My children, who know me so well, gave me a SNUGGIE and a copy of Glenn Beck’s book, Arguing With Idiots.  And my wonderful husband gave me a brand new NetPC…in RED.  A NetPC is one of those really small computers…PERFECT for my homeschooling stuff.  I was thrilled.  Here’s a picture Jess took:
