_140_245_Book.72.coverI chose to review Fearless, by Max Lucado, as my Thomas Nelson blogger review because honestly, you can never go wrong with a Max Lucado book.  Max Lucado has an uncanny way of unpacking scripture like no one I’ve ever read.  It’s all stuff you KNOW…but when Max unpacks it, it just seems to make more sense.  Fearless was no different.

In reading Fearless, I kept thinking to myself, “this book is so timely”.  I found myself encouraged and uplifted by the words I was reading.  It’s as if God has heard all of us down here praying frantically about our financial security, and sent us a message via Max Lucado’s Fearless.

In Fearless,  Lucado points out early in his book (p. 10), “The Gospels list some 125 Christ-issued imperatives. Of these, 21 urge us to “not be afraid” or “not fear” or “have courage” or “take heart” or “be of good cheer.” The second most common command, to love God and neighbor, appears on only eight occasions.” Max then takes us through several real-life stories of fear, and couples them with what Jesus has to say about them.  And Jesus had a lot to say about our fears.

If you are looking for a little bit of comfort, some words of wisdom, and some peace to any of the fears you may be experiencing, I strongly recommend you read this book.
